CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - 2010 BACK-TO-SCHOOL RETREAT: “DISCOVER RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY”

The Rights & Democracy Student Network is organizing its retreat earlier this year! It will be held in Montreal from August 26-29, 2010, in order to be ready for the school year to come. The objective of this retreat is to enable our active members and new members from across Canada to meet each other, share information and ideas, and participate in training workshops to prepare them for their delegation activities during the year to come. Please note that students from all disciplines are invited to apply, and places will be reserved for members who are new to the Network.

Format

The various sessions will take the form of presentations, interactive workshops, simulations or discussions and will help students build their capacity for promoting human rights and democracy through concrete, practical examples that can be applied within their respective delegations.

The Student Network's new logo, new and exciting promotional tools, and the latest edition of the Delegation Handbook will be launched during the Retreat. Each delegate will receive these materials and enough copies of the Handbook for each member of their delegation's executive.
