Rights & Democracy Network Atlantic Regional Event: Religion and Human Rights

The 2007 Atlantic Regional Event was hosted by the Rights & Democracy Delegation at Dalhousie University. The event explored the relations between religion, gender and human rights. Students from all of the provinces in the region were invited to attend.

Rights & Democracy Network Ontario & Quebec Regional Event: USHIFT

March 3 and 4, 2007
The 2007 Ontario Regional Event was hosted by the Rights & Democracy Delegation of Glendon College. This event’s goal was to raise awareness among Delegations of the issues surrounding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and to create a plan for students to implement more ‘conscious’ practices in their own learning environments. The Regional Event brought together Canadian leaders in CSR from the corporate, humanitarian and banking sectors, to share dialog with students about these important issues.

Rights & Democracy Network Western Regional Event: Culture, Human Rights and Democracy

The Rights & Democracy Delegation at First Nations University hosted the Network’s Western Regional Mingler on February 27 and 28, 2007, in Regina, Saskatchewan on the theme of culture, human rights, and democracy.

Rights and Democracy Network National Retreat

September 22, 23 and 24, 2006
The Rights & Democracy Network organized a national retreat in the greater Montreal area on September 22, 23 and 24, 2006. The objective of this annual event is to enable our active members across Canada to meet each other, share information and views, and participate in training sessions. The training sessions enable participants to deepen their understanding of approaches particular to the Network and strengthen Canadian Delegations’ capacities for reflection and action.
Rights & Democracy Network International Mingler on Global Citizenship

The Rights & Democracy Network innovated in 2007 by organizing its first International Mingler in the greater Montreal area from March 21st to 24th, 2007. The 'Mingler' is the main event of the year for the Rights & Democracy Network.
