- Panel on the Right to Water: University of Alberta, February 1st, 2006
Water has become a precious commodity in the first world, and even more so in developing nations. As part of their university’s International Week 2006, the University of Alberta R & D Delegation hosts a panel to allow discussion of solutions for addressing the issue of water as a fundamental human right.

- 2006 M.O.R.E. Conference : Towards Equity in Global Health: The Status of Women's Health: University of British Columbia, March 3-4, 2006
Medical students and health care providers explore the obstacles that make women around the world disproportionately vulnerable to marginalized health. The conference focuses on violence and conflict, health access, access to education, empowerment, HIV and infectious diseases, reproductive health options, and obstetrical care.

Training in human rights observation from a local NGO that works with a human rights centre in Chiapas , the Centro de derechos humanos Fray Bartolomé de las casas. After the training, students pass on the knowledge gained through a presentation to the whole Delegation.
Project Team: Global Studies, Anthropology, Education, Political Science - World Urban Forum: Malaspina University College, June 2006
The Delegation promotes and participates in the UN Habitat Jam in December 2005, which brought together 100,000 young people virtually from around the world to discuss urban sustainability issues. The Delegation is also preparing a Networking session for the World Urban Forum in June 2006 on best practices for overcoming social exclusion and fostering common spirit in increasingly multi-ethnic cities through increased participation in civic governance.

The student film award is presented to a student filmmaker to enable them to produce a short documentary on issues pertaining to human rights and democratic development. A mentor is also made available to them to help complete the video. The video will then be shown at the Traveling World Community Film Festival 2007 in Nanaimo .

A weekly one-hour radio show that examines human rights, democracy and ethical travel.
Project Team: Global Studies, Anthropology - Education Action Kit for Secondary Schools: Malaspina University College
The Delegation visits elementary and secondary schools to make presentations about human rights and democracy, and leaves the teachers and students a package of materials to encourage discussion about human rights and democracy. The kits include information on how students can start their own sweatshop fashion show, and the Globalia game created by the Laval University Delegation.

- Western Regional Mingler : "La Francophonie, Human Rights and Democracy": Collège Universitaire de Saint-Boniface, February 3-4, 2006
The Delegation hosts a Network Regional Event on human rights and the Francophonie, to discuss with students and representatives from several francophone institutions about the opportunities for youth to advance human rights in the Francophonie.

A two-day event featuring a speech on human rights reform by Senator Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire, a smaller discussion group with the Senator, a presentation on Indigenous Peoples, Group Rights, and a workshop on the future of human rights.

- Rock for Rights: Mount Allison University, November 19, 2005
Benefit concert to educate and inform the public about women in areas of war and conflict, during the Atlantic Regional Network Mingler held during the ATLIS concert. Funds raised are donated to the Urgent Action Fund to help women in conflict areas of West Africa participate in peace building workshops.

In conjunction with the Canadian Studies Department of the university, the Delegation organizes a gender issues conference which explored themes pertaining to gender-sensitive human rights issues, including Aboriginal women’s issues in Canada , reproductive rights and gender and warfare. Based on a simulation style, participants engaged in workshops led by specialists, resulting in policy proposals on the issues discussed.

The Delegation co-presents the ATLIS conference "Why We Fight: War, Peace, and Resolution", where undergraduate students from all over Atlantic Canada participate in one of the largest undergraduate discussions in the field of International Relations. Students, professors, NGO and government leaders, activists, and experts share their experiences, in an effort to promote the values of human rights and democracy. During the ATLIS conference, the Delegation hosts the regional event, where students from 6 universities in the Atlantic region meet and discuss about the opportunities for strengthening the Network in their region.

A one-day event where students wear t-shirts proclaiming their commitment to standing up against poverty, and actually stand up in their classes all day. A fundraising party is organized where students promoted their campaign against poverty.

- Network Café in Montreal: HEC
Mandated by the Network Team, the Delegation members at the HEC are conducting a feasibility study for a pilot project of opening a Network Café in Montreal. The Network team plans to make a call for propositions for the next steps of the project.
- Let’s Teach Human Rights: A Conference to Empower Teachers & Students: McGill University, January 31st & February 1st, 2006
Featuring workshops, a screening, a youth panel, a book fair, and a keynote speech by Justin Trudeau, the 2nd edition of Let’s Teach Human Rights offers education students exciting and new strategies for integrating human rights into their curricula.

How do the children perceive their rights? The Delegation helds children's art workshops for children in pre-Kindergarten to grade 6 on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which resulted in an exhibition at McGill and a book of children's responses to the Convention.

With the support of the founder team of the project at Université Laval, the Delegation at Sherbrooke undertakes the project to recreate the interactive experience of “40 hours in the life of a refugee”, where 40 participants explore many facets of the refugees’ realities. A considerable project including an information forum, conferences, roundtable, theatrical lecture and testimonies.
